We ran the global professional services operation for a major BI platform — hundreds of analytics environments, every industry, every stage of maturity. We saw the promises made in sales cycles and the reality that greeted delivery teams on day one. And we saw, over and over, where the gaps live — gaps nobody at the vendor is incentivized to close.
The pattern was always the same: years of accumulated analytics sprawl, undocumented pipelines, redundant reports, KPIs calculated five different ways. Then AI changed the stakes. Sprawl used to cost efficiency — now it feeds bad decisions at machine speed with false confidence.
We started Evil Genius to fix that. Not to sell hours doing the same discovery work we'd done a thousand times, but to build the tools and the practice that actually prepare organizations for what's next — faster, more rigorous, and more lasting than anyone else can.

Evil Genius exists because Matt got tired of watching companies settle for “good enough” and decided to build something that doesn’t.

Jeff spent more than 25 years operating across finance, engineering, consulting, and business leadership—culminating in 14 years at Qlik leading some of its most complex global analytics programs. He led delivery for Qlik’s largest enterprise customers, built the Integrated Delivery team—unifying Qlik and fragmented partners into a single governed delivery model that generated over $30M in revenue—and built and scaled a Managed Services division into a $25M+ business. He joined Evil Genius to move beyond fixing delivery one engagement at a time—and to build delivery models that work at scale. Most delivery organizations don’t break because of technology—they break because the model doesn’t scale. Jeff builds the ones that do.
